So many of us in business fall into the trap of "everyone is my potential customer".  That is one of the quickest ways to fail.  You can't possible have an effective sales message if you are trying to talk to everyone.  You want to focus on the potential customers that already understand the problem and just need the best solution.  Spend time on speaking to the people that already know there is an issue and just need you to solve it.
