Business storytelling is a powerful way to sell without selling overtly because it engages and persuades through narratives and emotions rather than resorting to aggressive sales tactics.


I share examples of stories you can tell to help your sales process:


  • Start by establishing relatability. You could share a story about a challenge or problem your business faced and how it overcame.
  • Share stories of satisfied customers who have benefited from your product or service. These success stories serve as powerful testimonials that showcase the real-world value of your offerings.
  • Tell the story of how your business began, highlighting the passion and vision that drive your company. This personal narrative can make your brand more relatable and appealing.
  • Offer educational and informative content that demonstrates your expertise and positions your business as a helpful resource. Storytelling can be used to simplify complex topics. Example: A financial advisor shares stories that explain investment concepts in relatable terms, empowering her clients to make informed decisions.
  • Share stories that convey your values and principles. This helps attract customers who share those values and believe in what your business stands for. Example: A sustainable fashion brand tells stories about ethical sourcing and environmental practices, appealing to eco-conscious consumers
  • Take your audience behind the scenes of your business operations. This transparency can build trust and show the dedication and passion of your team.
  • Share stories of how your business persevered through challenging times or setbacks. These narratives demonstrate resilience and determination.
  • Share your vision for the future and how your product or service fits into it. Inspire customers to become a part of that future by using your offerings.
