Following the kickstarter campaign 'Sembene Across Africa' where the "Sembene!" documentary was screening for free in communities across the African continent; we gathered to discuss Ousmane Semebene's legacy as the Father of African Cinema and his first feature film "Black Girl". I (Sharon Rwakatungu) am joined by Oscar Harding, a film researcher and producer based in the UK along with my recurring contributors Timothy Niwamanya, Joel Tugaineyo, Nick Muhereza and Gary Mugisha.
