As the dust settles from a palpitating weekend of action across the TG4 All Ireland Intermediate and Junior Championships, four teams are looking at an August 3rd date in Croke Park, while the other four saw their dreams crushed. Host Diarmuid Kearney is joined again by regulars Clare Owens (Leitrim) and Joanne Doonan (Fermanagh) to unpack all the events from the weekend.
It was a rollercoaster weekend in the Intermediate and Junior Championships reaching the final four stage. Laois, Monaghan, Tyrone and Westmeath were all staking their claim in the Intermediate grade, while in the Junior, Louth, Longford, Antrim and Sligo also treated us to some high octane action.
While those teams have been fighting it out for silverware, others have battled it out for safety. Two weeks ago, Wicklow won consecutive relegation playoff ties to remain an Intermediate side, and captain Sarah Jane Winders drops in for a chat to discuss the events from that game.
While at the weekend Donegal faced Leitrim in the Senior Relegation playoff, with Donegal coming out on top. Captain Roisin Rodgers gives her thoughts on the season, and the clash with Leitrim. While Clare reflects on Leitrim's time as a Senior outfit as they drop down to Intermediate for next season.
Diarmuid, Clare, and Joanne review all the weekend’s Intermediate and Junior Semi Final action. React to the big results and exits and look ahead to the respective finals. Expect honest chat, plenty of insight, technical issues and a few laughs along the way!
