As a professor at Western Michigan University, he wrote several books and hundreds of articles about chip design and manufacturing. He was the founder of Open Silicon, PeerNova, and was the CEO of SiFive. Currently he’s the Chairman of the Silicon Federation, which aims to democratize chip design.
