On the eve of the 50th anniversary of President John F. Kennedy’s assassination, Senator Adlai E. Stevenson III shares his memories of the man and his policies. The Senator’s father, Adlai II, came very close to having JFK as his presidential running mate in the 1956 election. Their relationship continued when President Kennedy chose Adlai Stevenson as the U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations.
