This week, I am delighted to welcome Thomas Derbyshire to the show for episode 2 of season 2. Thomas is a PE teacher who entered the profession via a less-than-typical route. Thomas was an LSA, supporting SEND students in lessons. After returning to university to qualify as a teacher, he worked as an LSA to fund himself. Now a teacher of PE and science, Thomas specialises in the support of SEND students in their learning process and is joining the show to discuss what this might look like in PE lessons.
Thomas is the deputy SENDco in his school and is currently studying towards his NASENCO and his NPQLT. A teacher going places with SEND provision at the forefront of his mind.
