Episode 15 – Special Edition: My Residency Speech at Hamilton Wade Douglas House
This episode is a little different — I’m sharing my speech from a celebration at the Hamilton Wade Douglas House in Brockton, where I’ve been creating art with residents since April to beautify their building. We marked our first permanent installation in the community room, with works in progress also on display.
Since only I was mic’d, I edited out most pauses for translation, but left in a few, including a moment when the audience urged the translator to speak up (and won!). I also left in a bit of “hot mic” audio at the end, which captured some sweet, real-life moments from the day.
📸This is one episode you may want to watch on Spotify or YouTube — I share photos of the process, works in progress, and the finished pieces that now brighten the community room.
