“Greg Todd is the co-owner of Renewal Rehabilitation in Wesley Chapel and Hyde Park. He graduated from Florida International University with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Physical Therapy, and received his strength and conditioning certification through the National Strength and Conditioning Association in 2000. He has over 15 years of experience in outpatient physical therapy. Greg is a board certified orthopedic certified specialist through the American Physical Therapy Association, and has served as the official physical therapist for Saddlebrook Tennis and Golf Resorts for the past 10 years. He also works as a consultant for professional tennis players on the ATP and WTA tour. Greg is also an avid runner, and has completed four marathons, seven half-marathons, and numerous 5k races.   Check out the following sample topics of our amazing discussion with Greg   Part 1: Introduction with the one and only Greg Todd: A PT, entrepreneur, consultant, teacher and family man who has created a unique and envious lifestyle, and whose willing to help others earn theirs.   The driving factors to initiate self-improvement and what it takes to create a truly autonomous career.   The real story of starting out as a clinician and the transformation of going from an ambitious new grad to a business owner.   Greg shares his passion for PT and describes how he found his purpose in the field.   A day in the life of a successful clinic owner and the impact you can have on a community even when you’re not treating.   Mentorship: when, where, and how to find it and how to maximize your potential by using this underutilized resource.   Taking a step back and looking at PT as an experience and not just a visit with another healthcare provider. Greg identifies what he thinks is the #1 factor to help someone improve their health that so many practitioners seem to be missing. He also dishes up advice to get this aspect of our practice back on track.   Vision, hearing or speaking? Greg offers his perspective on what makes him a better clinician based on just one of these forms of communication.   Part 2: The hypothetical Greg Todd school of PT: What are the most important things that Greg would jam into a school curriculum to better prepare new grads for their careers. He defines marketing, specialization and business management practices and why we need to expand our understanding of these subjects to thrive.   Greg comments on what has changed in the healthcare and PT market in the past 15 years and shares what influences will continue to mold the landscape for the PT field.   The importance of being a good role model: What’s easy and difficult about maintaining a positive image and Greg’s personal experience establishing himself under the microscope.   Exercise is important and there’s no refuting the evidence supporting its use. What skills should a PT have to maximize their role as a proponent for exercise?   Self-reflection: What should a new or seasoned PT ponder in order to be happy? “Who do you want to serve?”   PLEASE check out Gregg’s amazing content on the following platforms.
