Church and state can work together, I believe, when it comes down to civil matters. Children born out of wedlock; The father and the mother of that child should be responsible and bring that child into the world and give him/her a home, as the child can't help because they are conceived or born. This is where our church and state can lend a hand to one another. The church should counsel new expecting parents, on what the Bible say about childbirth. And the state gets involved with rape, incest, or promiscuous sex, that there should be civil laws to deal with these issues. They both can agree and say you may abort this child because of rape. But incest or promiscuous sex, The Bible & God says it's wrong, and when state agrees therefore it's not allowed. Men and women should realize their bodies belong to God. (1Corinthians 6:19-20) read it. Here's another one: Wars that Caesar's starts, we need to pray for peace, but because we live in this country or that country or wherever we live.
If our country goes to war, that war is going to affect everybody. So therefore, you can't say "no I will not fight for Caesar's in the battle to support my country." You may not need to fight necessarily, to help support your country. So, whatever you do it from the heart God can bless. You might be someone who's going to feed the soldiers, care for them as doctors and nurses, pray for the soldiers and the battle, you may not see where you fit in but help is always needed. You can still support your nation as a Christian, get involved just because it belongs to Caesar's it affects everybody who lives in the state. We can all agree that the government should not be involved in religious matters, nor the church seek to control the government. But a middle ground is always needed, we must agree somewhere to help each other to keep society in check. The church for the moral side and the state for the civil legal side. That's why God ordained governments. (Romans 13:1-2) read it.
