Proverbs 22:29 (KJV) Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men. (other versions say unknown men)

There is that word again: diligent! There seems to be a common thread here. If you manage your business diligently and with skill, you will stand in the midst of influence and prominence. Diligence is key.
