Brandon Isaak has been a well-known name in the blues world up in Canada since he joined The Twisters back in 1999. In 2011, he broke out on his own and has kept wowing audiences with his great lyricism and guitar work. Isaak and his Saints of Swing tour tirelessly around Canada bringing the "old school" blues to venues and new listeners. 

Back in July, Isaak released another great collection of the variety of old school styles on Walkin' With the Blues. Recorded live off the floor with minimal mics, vintage gear, Isaak brought the fun, the skill and the sound on some great tracks. 

In the interview, we talk about his roots as a young man up in the Yukon with is dad to his days of soaking up classic blues players and jamming with The Twisters. The interview captures his essence, wit and breadth of knowledge. 

We even talked about the current political climate between the U.S. and Canada, and the hurdles that musicians face when touring across the border.
