Despite the cancellation of Sunday's card at Woodbine due to extreme heat in the GTA, there was no shortage of big winners and great stories to come out of the week, including the My Dear and Ballade Stakes from July 13th. With a couple unfortunate injuries forcing a pair of popular jockeys to miss some time, new leaders emerge atop the jockeys standings in Fort Erie (30:17). We're joined by breeder and Hill N Dale farm manager Ericka Rusnak (38:51), who shares her story of how purchasing a Thoroughbred mare over 20 years ago to make her a riding horse led to a career in breeding racehorses as well as the culmination of her years breeding quality over quantity. We take a look at an important week ahead (1:13:41), including the rescheduled Victoria Stakes on Friday, Woodbine Oaks and Plate Trial, in addition to the Grade 2 Connaught Cup and Grade 3 Trillium Stakes on Saturday July 20th.
