In part two of Serenity's story she shares her experiences in homeless shelters, domestic abuse shelters and eventually juvenile hall.  At 13 years old her  mother abandons the family. Serenity finds herself  being responsible for her siblings while navigating  the complicated and sometimes harrowing government social systems. Serenity offers some solutions on how to improve these systems in hopes that others do not have to experience the same injustices.
