In this episode we show how  to create new files and folders in Linux.

We show how to use the mkdir command to make a folder and the rmdir command to remove a folder.

We mention the -v option to these commands meaning "verbose" to provide more positive responses on the screen.

We explain the echo command and mention what standard output is and also how to display quotation marks.

Finally, we build on this echo command by showing how we divert the standard output into the creation of a file.
