Teaching the why behind the how is crucial in our business. Anyone can learn to break a window. We need our people to know why we break windows so they'll know when to do it. More importantly, they'll know when not to. The same goes for search. We HAVE to occupy the interior to conduct searches. When we understand the fire ground and why we do things; we can operate safely in unsafe environments to affect positive outcomes. When we do not understand, we equate safety with complete risk aversion... a mindset our victims can't afford for us to have.
