SERMON NOTES – October 19, 2025Series: Ephesians: God’s Plan to Reconcile All Things in ChristText: Ephesians 6:10-12Topic: Waging Spiritual Warfare (Part 1) Attribute: Praise Christ as the Victorious King GOD’S IM: “You are in the midst of a spiritual battle, more dangerous than you know. Be strong in the Lord and put on the armor of God, so that you may do your part and survive until the end!”Notes: Be S_______________ (vs. 10)Ephesians 1:15-23Ephesians 3:16-20Put on A_______________ (vs. 11)Ephesians 4:24Ephesians 5:1“The armor given to us is God’s own armor. To put on the armor of God is to put on the Messiah Himself. It means to be identified with Him and fight with His strength, displaying His character.” - Tony MeridaW_______________ (vs. 12)IMPLICATIONS FOR LIFE:1) There is a war raging!We must constantly be aware that we are in a spiritual war. Further, we must be prepared for this fight and do battle on the spiritual plane if we are to have any chance of making it through this life and world.2) There is victory in this war!Do not become overwhelmed, dismayed, or disheartened by the reality of this war you find yourself in. Jesus has already won and has given you everything necessary so you can participate in His victory! “… everything that is given to us to make our victory possible is from Christ. Is it truth (vs. 14)? He is the truth; he is the one who said, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me’ (John 14:6). Is it righteousness (verse 14)? He is our righteousness. Paul writes, ‘Christ… has become for us wisdom from God - that is our righteousness, holiness and redemption’ (1 Cor. 1:30). Is it the gospel (vs. 15)? The gospel is the gospel of Christ (Mark 1:1). Is it faith (vs. 16)? It is faith in him (Gal. 2:20). Salvation (vs. 17)? Christ is our salvation; he achieved it by his death on the cross (Acts 4:10-12). Even prayer is by the channel that he has opened up for us (Heb. 10:19-20). None of us can stand against the spiritual forces of evil in our own strength - not even for a moment.
