In this sermon, based on Mark 1:14-20, Pastor Scott explores Jesus' invitation to the first disciples. He calls Peter, Andrew, James, and John, and yet the father of two of them, Zebedee, is left behind. We explore the ways which we feel left behind and yet remember the promise that the invitation of the gospel is for all. This is the assigned Gospel text for Sunday January 24th, 2021, the 3rd Sunday after Epiphany.
