December 3 is the first Sunday in the first season in the new Church year. This is the Advent season, when we are getting ready for the Son of God to come to us as the human baby Jesus. The Sundays in Advent will help us to think about why the birth of this Jesus is such a wonderful and important event - beginning with this Sunday, when we’ll think about the meaning of His name - “Jesus.”
