O God,

the strength and refuge of all

who serve you: when we are brought

to time of trial, stand with us in the

conflict and strengthen our resolve to

bear with joy the cost of our discipleship;

through Jesus Christ our Lord, who

lives and reigns with you and the

Holy Spirit, one God,

for ever and ever.

Amen.
