We look at the first part of John 15:1-17, defining loneliness as disconnection from the Vine, and observing how loneliness leads to an anxious presence in the world. Insecure that we are not safe in the love of those around us, we constantly are needing to get love, approval and affection from those not designed to provide them. It is only when we learn to be alone with Jesus as the only complete source of life and love that we are free to love others well.
