Sermon Series: Questioning Jesus (Last in the Series)
Sermon Title: Jesus, Will You Help Me?
Bible Passage: Mark 10:46–52
Preacher: Ian Morrison
Date: 27th July 2025, 9:30 am

As we conclude our Questioning Jesus series, we meet Bartimaeus, a blind beggar who cries out to Jesus, “Son of David, have mercy on me!” (Mark 10:46–52). Despite the crowd’s attempts to silence him, Bartimaeus persists, convinced that Jesus is his only hope. In response, Jesus restores his sight and transforms his life.

This story is more than a record of physical healing—it’s a picture of the gospel itself. Like Bartimaeus, we are spiritually blind and helpless to save ourselves. But Jesus came not just to open physical eyes but to open hearts, to bring forgiveness, healing, and eternal life to all who cry out to Him in faith. On the cross, Jesus bore our deepest need—our sin—and through His resurrection, He offers new life and hope to everyone who calls on His name.

This Sunday, Ian Morrison will show us that Jesus still hears our cries for mercy today. Whatever your need, whatever your past, He is willing and able to help. The question is, will we come to Him as Bartimaeus did—with faith, humility, and persistence?

Join us for this encouraging conclusion to the series as we see how the gospel answers our desperate cry: “Jesus, will you help me?”
