John 11:4 God glorified by Lazarus resurrection. How is the son of man glorified by this?
How do you glorify God – learn from Christ. 1 Corinthians 11:1
Matthew 5:16; - let your light shine – that they may see your good works – glorify your Father in heaven
Luke 5:26 – paralytic – people left glorifying God.
Luke 7:16 – raising the widow’s dead son
Luke 13:13 - healing woman bent over
Luke 18:43 – healed blind man
John 11:4 – Jesus raising Lazarus glorifies God but this doesn’t glorify Christ.
When does God glorify Christ? When the work is done!
John 13:31-32; John 17:1; John 17:4-5; John 19:30; Hebrews 5:5; Acts 13:32-33; Romans 1:4; Philippians 2:5-10; John 2:19; John 10;11,17-18;
If God raised Jesus. If Jesus raised Jesus. Therefore Jesus is God.
When does God glorify us? When the work is done John 20:19; Revelation 3:5; Matthew 25:21,23; well done good & faithful slave.
Therefore look with me to John 11:4; Jesus is determined to die at this coming Passover.
So by raising Lazarus, Jesus set the wheels of hate in motion John 1:45-46, 49-55;
Jesus proves He is in control. We know God is in control. Therefore again Jesus is God!
Is Jesus in control of your life, have you fully surrendered to Him. If not why not?
Jesus is our source of eternal life because we know Jesus is God.
