This year most of the Gospel lessons are in the Gospel according to Saint Mark. These readings talk about Jesus’ teachings, His miracles, and His action-packed ministry. But each of the readings also has a “takeaway” from Jesus Himself! We’re focusing on these “red-letter” verses this year.
Our worship service today includes three readings from God’s Word - the first is about how God created Adam and Eve; the second is about how God declares people to be the brothers and sisters of Jesus; and the third is - well, it’s about divorce, adultery, children, and the kingdom of God. And it includes the “red letter verse” for today, from Mark chapter 10, verse 15 - Jesus said,“Anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.”
