1. Commandments are commanded

- God told Moses, but that’s not good enough

- We think that he wrote them down and that’s it

- But the commandments are commanded

1 “Now this is the commandment—the statutes and the rules—that the LORD your God commanded me to teach you,

- God has removed doubt as to how he wants parents to raise their children

- God doesn’t give us the choice to give our kids a choice

2. Commandments are for teaching fear of God

- Maybe you will relate to your parental authority differently once you realize what these commands are for

Boldly I approach my Father

Clothed in Jesus' righteousness

There is no more guilt to carry

It was finished upon that cross
