Isaiah 11:1-10
When Jesus establishes His Kingdom in full, it will be amazing, wonderful, and perfect! Long ago the prophet Isaiah foretold of a shoot coming from the stump of Jesse who would restore the Kingdom of God on earth to an even more glorious and perfect state. This beautiful image also teaches us that in the New Kingdom there will be no more pain, suffering, or danger. In Advent we acknowledge that we longingly await this final return of Christ because it will be wonderful, amazing, and perfect in every way! Truly, we have something to celebrate!
