This sermon challenges one of the most fundamental assumptions of modern education: that students are merely minds to be filled rather than hearts to be formed. Drawing from the book of Proverbs, we will discover that the true student is a worshiper whose loves, appetites, words, and actions reveal the deepest realities of the soul—and that Christian education is ultimately the formation of the heart before God. Most importantly, we will see how Jesus Christ, the perfect Student and Teacher, gives new hearts to sinners so that they may become truly wise.
