Sermon: The K in PACK-Kairos and the Courage to Act
For nearly two and a half years, the Colorado Psychedelic Church gathered in a basement. In this final sermon before moving into a permanent community space, Teopixqui Dez reflects on how a small gathering became a movement… and what it means to carry that momentum into a new chapter.
Continuing the series on living a PACK Life, Dez explores two powerful themes: the idea that "pacifism is the privilege of the protected" and the concept of Kairos… those pivotal moments that shape us, challenge us, and ultimately help us grow.
Drawing from history, personal experience, and the stories of the congregation, he discusses the difference between passive peace and meaningful action, the lessons hidden inside life's hardest moments, and why community gives us the strength to transform pain into purpose.
This sermon also marks a milestone in the church's journey as the community prepares to leave the space where it began and open the doors to its new home.
