God gives image bearers (us) what are called "communicable attributes." I think of these as "common gifts" that God bestows on everyone as something we share with God. God is creative, and we are creative. God likes to build, we like to build. God likes to communicate, we like to... you get the point! These can be used to give God tremendous glory!
