Welcome to the season of Advent where we celebrate the advent, anticipated coming, of Jesus’ birth. One of the greatest gifts of God to mankind is the gift of salvation. Why? Because all have sinned, all have betrayed God, all are stained with destruction. A stain that we, ourselves, cannot remove. That stain of sin is part of who we are. But God’s promise is that if we only confess that Jesus is Lord and believe that He is God is that he will remove that terrible stain and make us white as snow! This first Sunday in Advent, we celebrate that we are White As Snow because of Jesus.
