On this Thirteenth Sunday after Trinity, The Sunday of the Good Samaritan, our lessons bring us to a contemplation of the Old Covenant and the law contained in it. But we also see how the Old Covenant anticipated something more, something better, which we find in Jesus Christ, who is revealed in the parable of the Good Samaritan.
