The Teen Winter Retreat at the close of 2025 was marked by a powerful work of the Spirit through Ron DeGarde’s preaching in the series Building a Faith That Sticks in 2026. God used His Word to stir hearts, deepen conviction, and call students to a resilient, lived-out faith marked by repentance, obedience, and trust in Christ. As teens stepped away from distraction and into intentional worship and fellowship, the Lord strengthened spiritual hunger and laid a firm foundation for a faith that would endure into the year ahead.

In addition to Ron DeGarde’s Building a Faith That Sticks in 2026 series, Micah Herbster’s message, “Devotion in the Desert,” called students to pursue steadfast faith in seasons of dryness, difficulty, and waiting. Pointing to God’s faithfulness in barren places, the message challenged teens to cultivate personal devotion when emotions fade and circumstances feel empty. Students were encouraged to see the desert not as abandonment, but as a place where deep roots of trust, prayer, and dependence on God are formed.

Drawing attention to the daily witness of obedience, humility, and integrity, the message called teens to live out their faith visibly among peers, families, and churches. Students were reminded that a faith that truly sticks is one that influences others—not through words alone, but through a life that consistently reflects Christ.
