“Moses the Deliverer” • Hebrews 11:27-28 – Elder Bryce Lowrance. The Apostle Paul continues showing how faith is fully trusting the words and promises of God by showing that Moses faithfully returned from the dessert to boldly deliverer the children of Israel from their bondage in Egypt.

“Lessons from the Law” • Brother Jonah Lowrance – Brother Jonah reflected on Joshua 1:8-9 and the importance of remembering the Law of God. He then highlighted a number of passages in the Law that have been of great importance to him for the past four years. These would include Genesis 1:1-5 about the creation of the world by the Eternal God. Genesis 1 & 2 about the creation of man and woman. Exodus 2:23-25 and God’s help for His people. Deuteronomy 6:4-5 about how we are commanded to love God with our whole person. Then finally, Numbers 25 in reference to the zeal we ought to have for God.

“Study and Have Hope” • 2nd Timothy 2:15-19 – Brother Jonah Lowrance. We are to study the word of God enough so that when we are faced with discouragement or false doctrines, we will remember that our salvation is secure in the finished work of Jesus Christ, and we will not be shaken from our faith.

“Let” • Romans 6:11-12; Matthew 5:16; 16:24; John 14:1-4; Romans 14:19; Galatians 6:9-10; Philippians 2:3-8; Colossians 3:16; Hebrews 13:1; & 1st John 4:7-11 – Elder Bryce Lowrance. Since we have been born of the Spirit of God, we are no longer servants to sin. We can now choose to do the right thing. In this message, Elder Lowrance picks up where Brother Jonah finished, and reminds us that we called to make the right choices as children of God and let righteousness, peace, and love reign in our lives.

“The Suffering Servant” • Isaiah 53 – Elder Bryce Lowrance. In order to fully understand the majesty of our risen Savior, we must understand how depraved and lost we were, and what great suffering Jesus endured for our sin. Elder Lowrance shows that the prophecy of Isaiah points to the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ which secured the eternal salvation of all of God’s elect.

“Moses on the Backside of the Desert” • Hebrews 11:26-27; Exodus 3-5 – Elder Bryce Lowrance. Between Moses’ decision of faith in Hebrews 11:26 and his courageously delivering Israel from Egyptian bondage in verse 27, Moses had a lot of growth in grace and faith that needed to happen so that he could be the proper instrument of God’s deliverance. Moses’ zeal got ahead of God’s timing when he killed the Egyptian and had to flee to Midian. While there, Moses learns patience, obedience, and how to trust the promises of God. These lesson prepared him to lead Israel to the promised land.

“Moses’ Decision of Fatih” • Hebrews 11:24-26 – Elder Bryce Lowrance. The next example of living by faith in Hebrews, Chapter 11 is Moses. Here, the Apostle lists more than one act of faith by Moses. His first act was a decision. Moses decided to be identified with the people of God rather than continue being called part of the royal family in Egypt. By rejecting his adoptive rights, Moses chose to suffer physically, financially, and in many other ways. The sole reason behind this decision was because he believed the promise of God and looked for the better resurrection that his forefathers sought.

“Authority of the Gospel” • Galatians 1:1-18 – Brother Jonah Lowrance. Brother Jonah explained the Apostle Paul’s confidence in the Gospel of the Lord Jesus to the extent that he encourages the Galatian Christians to ignore anyone who would teach something apart from that Gospel. Christians today ought to do the same thing. They ought to be confident in the good news that it is Christ who died for our sins and saves us by His grace alone.

“According to His Will, Not Ours” • Galatians 1:4-6; Romans 5:6-15; & 1st Corinthians 15:19-26 – Elder Bryce Lowrance. Our great hope is that Christ’s death didn’t just restore us to the state of Adam in the Garden of Eden but to a glorified state of eternal life. Continuing in Galatians and progressing to the Apostle Paul’s letters to the Ephesians and the Corinthians, Elder Bryce shows that to truly give glory to God for complete salvation in Jesus Christ, we must understand man’s total inability to move toward God in his fallen nature. The entire human race is guilty by the sion of Adam, but all the elect are justified in Jesus Christ.

“Moses’ Parents” • Hebrews 11:23 – Elder Bryce Lowrance. Continuing in the list of Old Testament saints, Elder Bryce teaches about the courage and ingenuity of Moses’ parents who acted in faith to save the life of their baby who would become the deliverer and Israel and a beautiful type of Jesus Christ.

“All Saved the Same Way” • Acts 15:1-19 – Brother Jonah Lowrance. Brother Jonah explains the dispute within the early churches regarding what place the Old Testament Law has in the salvation, how the dispute was properly handled, and that the Apostles and elders concluded that God’s people are not saved by the Law. Based on the blessing of the Holy Ghost, the words of Jesus, and the Old Testament Scriptures, they come to the conclusion that all are saved in the same way by “the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ.”

“Joseph’s Bones” • Hebrews 11:22 – Elder Bryce Lowrance. Joseph believed the promise of God that his family would return to the promised land so he had his family swear an oath that his bones would be taken back to that land when God delivered them in the future. This shows that he sought another country like his forefathers and believed in the resurrection. Elder Lowrance traces the fulfillment of this promise and shows how Shechem is a vital place of covenant giving and renewal and experiences with God. Shechem is a picture of the deliverance of God in the work of Jesus Christ.
