Our message from Luke 24:13–27, “Is Easter Unbelievable?”, will explore key questions surrounding the resurrection.

Pastor Dave's message, “What If Easter Never Happened?” invites us to consider just how central the resurrection is to our faith and to our lives. 

Pastor Chris preaches the message "Why Was the Death of Jesus Good for God’s People?" from Hebrews 9:11-14. God teaches his people about the purpose and meaning of Jesus’ sacrificial death on the cross, which provides us eternal access to God and enables us to serve him with a clear conscience. 

Our message will look at what it means to keep following Christ when life is hard. In the midst of desertion, difficulty, and changing circumstances, Paul models what it looks like to remain faithful to Christ. Together we’ll consider what it means to foster spiritual resilience in the last days through a love anchored beyond this present world, a community of care that supports and strengthens one another, and a deep reliance on Christ, who stands with His people and gives them strength. 
Even when others fall away or circumstances are difficult, Paul reminds us of this unshakable truth: “The Lord stood by me and strengthened me… The Lord will rescue me and bring me safely into his heavenly kingdom.” (vv. 14, 18)  It’s a timely encouragement for us to keep trusting Christ, to keep walking with one another, and to keep going in faith, knowing our hope is secure in Him.

Paul gives a clear and urgent charge: “preach the word.” In a world that often resists truth and follows its own desires, God calls his people to remain steady, faithful, and grounded in the gospel. Even through difficult days, we are reminded that Christ has conquered sin and death, and nothing can separate us from his love. This is the good news we hold to and proclaim.

Pastor Dave’s message “Word Priority for Profitable Ministry" will come from 2 Timothy 3, where Paul reminds Timothy that life in the “last days” will be marked by confusion, self-centeredness, and false teaching. Yet in the midst of these challenges, God provides something sure and powerful for His people: His Word. We’ll reflect on how God empowers faithful ministry and faithful living through the Scriptures, considering The Word’s unique power, unique source and unique purpose. 

Pastor Dave reminds us how we can thrive in the last days, avoiding the hopeless messages from those who aren't thriving, and seeking wise, Word-empowered ministry.

We conclude our brief two-part series on The Sacraments as we turn our attention to The Lord’s Supper. In this meal, Christ gives us a sign and seal of our fellowship with him and the blessings that are ours through his finished work. The Lord’s Supper points us to his sacrifice on the cross, strengthens our communion with him in the present, and renews our hope in his promised return. “And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, ‘This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me.’ In the same way, after the supper he took the cup, saying, ‘This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you.’” (Luke 22:19–20)

God makes promises to his people, and he keeps them. We reflect on the beauty of baptism and the covenant faithfulness of our God. As His people and their children are formally initiated into the church through this sacrament, they acknowledge the promises of a covenant-making and covenant-keeping God. “And I will establish my covenant between me and you and your offspring after you throughout their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be God to you and to your offspring after you.” (Genesis 17:7)

The apostle Paul urges Timothy to guard the church by teaching the truth clearly, avoiding quarrelsome distractions, and rightly handling the word of God so that the gospel is not distorted, keeping focused on the main thing and being prepared for honorable service (see 2 Tim. 2:14-26).
