Pastor Dave's message “A Joy-Generating Invitation” from Psalm 122. It's an especially fitting psalm for this Sunday: "I was glad when they said to me, 'Let us go to the house of the LORD!’” As we enjoy the changes to the place where we worship, Psalm 122 reminds us that our greatest joy is found in gathering as God's people in the presence of God.

Life is full of unexpected turns, joys and disappointments, beginnings and endings. Psalm 121 lifts our eyes beyond our circumstances to the Lord, our faithful keeper. "The Lord is your keeper... The Lord will keep you from all evil; he will keep your life. The Lord will keep your going out and your coming in..." (vv. 5, 7-8).

Pastor Dave preaches the message “Reorienting Grace in a Distressed World” from Psalm 120, the first of the Songs of Ascents, a collection of pilgrimage psalms sung by God’s people as they journeyed to Jerusalem for worship. We'll consider how God meets his people in the midst of a world marked by deception, conflict, and unrest, and how he graciously reorients us through truth, repentance, and the hope of his promises.

Pastor Dave’s sermon, “Word Delight: Joy When Life Isn't Fair” focuses on vv. 161–176. In these closing verses, the psalmist speaks honestly about opposition, hardship, and the reality of living in a fallen world. Yet through it all, he continues to delight in God's Word, finding in it wisdom, comfort, hope, and lasting joy. The psalm concludes with a humble prayer: “I have gone astray like a lost sheep; seek your servant,” a reminder that our ultimate hope is not in our faithfulness to God, but in His faithful pursuit of us.

Life often feels uncertain, confusing, and even discouraging. Because God is perfectly righteous, eternally faithful, and true to His promises, we can continue to pray without losing heart. Together we'll consider how God's Word shapes our prayers, strengthens our hope and points us to Christ, our faithful Advocate.

Patrick Lewis preaches the message, “Holding onto the Covenant Words of the LORD.” In this portion, we find the psalmist longing for God's salvation, clinging to his promises in affliction and discovering that God’s Word provides life, stability and wisdom in a changing world.

Guest preacher John Chung from Covenant Theological Seminary. John will preach from Psalm 87 that celebrates God's love for his city and his gracious invitation to people from every nation to become citizens of his kingdom.

Pastor Dave preaches from Psalm 119:41–80, “God’s Word Works In Tough Moments.” Life often brings opposition, affliction, and seasons when we feel alone. In this portion of Psalm 119, the psalmist repeatedly turns to God’s promises and discovers that his Word provides courage when he is attacked, comfort when he is afflicted, and community when he feels isolated.

The psalmist prays, “Open my eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of your law” (v. 18). As we look at this passage together, we will be reminded that understanding, loving and following God's Word is not something we accomplish on our own. We need the illuminating work of the Holy Spirit to open our eyes, enlighten our minds, change our hearts, and renew our wills.
