After commanding his readers to apply Christlike virtues to their faith, the Apostle Peter now explains to them the implications of the presence, exercise, and progress of these qualities, or lack thereof, in the life of a believer

In light of the abounding graces through which God has redeemed believers, and all of the spiritual resources He provides for the Christian life, Peter commands them to fortify their faith through the application of Christ-like virtues.
