This week we talk with Owner/Operator Lance Spencer with Chick-fil-a of Lee’s Summit. Lance shares his heart to follow God and what it means be a mentor.

Lance had a business mindset at an early age. He grew up in a home with an entrepreneur spirit. Lance began his career with Chick-Fil-A in high school after reading a book.

Leading through difficult situations with opportunities to fail, but also able to flex your mental muscle is what helped him be where he is today. Lance believes that business based on biblical principles and biblical principles make good business principles.

He has learned so much through different mentors and leaders that influenced his life. Mentors of all ages and backgrounds. Looking back, he sees God in the moments that helped guide him to where he is now and providing mentors along his career path.

Lance talks through how Covid affected business and how he was able to serve and lead his team through the time. In-house food pantries, connection to resources for team members, and provide them with some stability. Second mile service to guests and to the team members.

Taking every day ordinary tasks and make it the Lord's work.
