There are three sections to the letter to the Romans. The first section addresses the gospel of Christ; the only way any can be saved and have eternal life (chapters 1-8). The second section addresses the apparent failure of gospel due to the Jew's rejection of Jesus (chapters.9-11). No, the gospel has not failed, but the Jewish rejection enabled God to open the gospel to Gentiles as well, which has always been His plan. The third section addresses the practical application of the gospel to life (chapters 12-16). This message demonstrates that the new covenant era was launched when Jesus arose and ascended to the Father's right hand. The church is now the temple of God where He dwell with His people. All believers are now priests offering acceptable worship to God by presenting their own bodies as living, not bloody, sacrifices to God. By this offering, they are able to discern through testing what is the good, acceptable and perfect will of God.
