Should I discount for friends and family?

 

I get this question from every client, so this week on Millionaire Mamas in the Making podcast, I’m coaching you on exactly how to handle working with friends and family.

 

My podcast manager and my VA were like, "this is a GREAT episode!" So you gotta listen... but here’s the short version.

 

1. There are no rules, you can do whatever you want.
2. Before offering any discounts, check in to see if you will be resentful in ANY way before offering. Resentment will keep you from serving them at your full capacity and that’s not what is best for THEM (and you).
3. Break your friends and family into three categories and assign rules based on that. I go into this in-depth in the episode.

 

This last piece is IMPORTANT! You don’t need to make a blanket decision for everyone. Your best friend is different than your old work colleague that you just saw after 3 years. Period, Amen.
