Good works cannot save anyone, for salvation is purely a gift of God to be received by faith alone in Jesus Christ and His finished work.

However, the believers in Christ are saved for good works - to serve God (Eph. 2:1-10).

Believers in Christ are not expected to serve God anyhow, but acceptably with profound respect and godly fear (Heb. 12:28-29).
