Serving Our Communities with Humility
Scripture: Philippians 2:3-4
Main Idea: Blessing our community requires humility modeled after Jesus.
To bless our communities:
1. We must guard against selfish ambition and vain conceit (empty glory).
Proverbs 20:3 NIV
James 3:12-16 NIV
2. We must put others before ourselves and serve with a heart of humility.
Matthew 25:34-40
3. We must follow the perfect example of humbly serving others set by
Jesus.
John 13:12-17
Action Steps:
a. Know Yourself - blessing others in humility comes from an honest
self-assessment.
Galatians 6:3
b. Go Serve - blessing others in humility takes courage.
Matthew 16:24-26
