Whether you have toddlers at home, or a teen under your roof, every parent needs to remember the hierarchy that brings order to your life.
When I say hierarchy, you’re thinkin’, Yeah, I’m the boss. And my kids need to listen to me!
Well, I’m not here to upset the chain of command in your home. You need to be a leader. But mom, dad, your work, your cleaning- up, driving- around, disciplining, makin’ meals, is all unto the Lord!
Colossians 3 says, “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord. …It is the Lord Christ you are serving.”
Yes, your kids respond to your authority. But don’t forget that you’re answering to Someone, too! Gratefully, God is in charge. It is the Lord Christ we are serving!
