Don't be afraid of Session 0. Hey, even the Romans took some time to fully embrace the concept of 0 and look what they accomplished. So...come on out and have yourself a Session 0, build a little character, and in the end I think we're all gonna have a lot of fun.
Unless the DM forgets about the Session 0 and ends up playing X-Box with their next door neighbor until they FINALLY text you at 11:37pm to let you know that they're "not feeling well" and "will have to reschedule". Dammit, Gary, I KNOW when you're lying! Why don't you just...
