The Sunday Sessions Project welcomes the brand-new indie band Candy Ass to the show. The provocatively named band @thecandyasses

hails from the Philadelphia music scene and is hoping that their new music will get them noticed. They have varied musical backgrounds that are sorta kinda pop-power-punk. Bass player Shane Hobensack describes their music as “angsty nervous energy indie-punk”. The band started as drummer Matt Boncek and Shane writing together and then quickly expanded to include lead vocalist Kevin Bradley and guitarist Mike Vermeil.

The band has been writing new material in a very timely way. Since they all have the ability to record at home they have been sharing tracks and writing without being in the same space. Someone sends out a bit of a demo and the other band members jam on it and share it.
