Session 4: Summarizing the Qualities of the Heart

What is the heart? What do we need to know about our hearts? What role do our hearts play in our relationship with God?
We will be discussing the classical text, ‘Explaining the Marvels of the Heart’, which is the twenty-first book of Imam al-Ghazali’s celebrated Ihya’ ‘Ulum al-Din. 
The Ihya’ is one of the classics of Islamic spirituality, and has endured the test of time for its perennial insights into the human condition. This course offering is part 1 of 3 and will be structured as a formal class.
