Division didn’t start in the modern church—it was already tearing at the church in Corinth.
In this message, Paul addresses a church fractured by preferences, personalities, and worldly ways of thinking. Believers were aligning themselves with favorite leaders—Paul, Apollos, Cephas—even claiming spiritual superiority—while losing sight of the One who actually holds the church together. Paul’s response cuts through the noise: Christ is not divided, and the church cannot be built on anything other than Him.
This teaching invites us to examine how culture subtly shapes the way we think about leadership, success, and belonging in the church. Drawing from Romans 12:2, we explore what it means to be united in the same mind and judgment—a Christ-centered way of thinking shaped by the cross, not by status, style, or preference.
Paul reminds the church that baptism, gifting, and growth were never meant to elevate individuals or create spiritual cliques. The power of the church is not found in eloquence, charisma, or technique, but in the message of Christ crucified. When the cross remains central, unity becomes possible.
At the heart of this message is a searching question for every believer: Is Jesus enough to keep you—when personalities fade, platforms shift, and everything else is stripped away?
