This will be tough to admit, but there is nothing we can do to fix our world. It is broken, torn up by war and human devastation, and surrounded by powers and forces bent on destruction. So why rejoice? Why give thanks? Why worship God? Because despite all of that, and it is a lot, the kingdom of God is here. And we as God's people have the power to push around the powers of this world. Through Christ. Our sermon series "Set Free" ends with a commemoration of Michael and the Angels and a remembrance of what we can do because we are bound to Christ. The gospel is Luke 10.17-20.
