Setting Boundaries

Listen Later

We've been talking about planning to build your resilience in 2023. The purpose of resilience is so that you can bend instead of break when you're under pressure, and we want to help you accumulate the tools to do that.

Today, we're going to be talking about boundaries. I love this topic because I think it's probably the one that propels people the furthest and the farthest when it comes to their mental health and well-being. So let's get into it.

So what are boundaries? Boundaries are like fences. They keep the good stuff in and the bad stuff out. You know, the trash that's blowing around, unwanted characters, et cetera. It's the definition of who we are and who we're not. A lot of times, when people have discomfort in the workplace or in family gatherings, and social settings, it's because one of their boundaries has been violated.
