Goals are important for several reasons. They help keep us motivated. Goals also give us something to focus on that we have some control over. This is especially important during a difficult season when so many things feel like they are beyond our control. Lets set some goals and lay out the steps that it will take to make them happen!

Hello, my name is Tiffany, and welcome to the podcast Working on Amazing.
This is a podcast where we talk about the work that it takes to rebuild an amazing life.
And I use that word rebuild because we are specifically designed for women who feel like they're starting over in the middle of their life.
And a lot of things can lead you to the point where it kind of feels like you're totally starting over.
But if that's you, first, I want to say, I'm sorry.
I know how bad that feels.
But I also want to say, you're not alone.
It gets better.
You're in the right place.
Welcome.
I'm so glad that you're here.
So as we get down to today's episode, I want to remind you of what I said in the beginning.
In the beginning, I said there were five areas that I focused on when I wanted to rebuild my life.
I focused on my spiritual health.
I focused on my mental health.
I focused on my physical health, and my financial health, and growth and goals.
So today's episode is going to fall under that growth and goals category.
And we're going to talk about goals again.
I know we've talked about goals before, but I just want to touch on it again.
It's so important to keep things in front of you to strive towards, right?
Goals are just important.
And all kinds of goals are good goals to have.
You need short-term goals.
Today, I'm going to clean the kitchen, or clean out my closet, or whatever.
And then we need long-term goals, like, I want to pay off all my debt, I want to be debt-free, I want to save for a good retirement, things like that.
So we need a mixture of all of them.
We need regular goals to achieve quickly, but we also need those long-term goals that keep us focused, right?
So a mixture of everything.
And then across the gamut, it doesn't need to just be all physical fitness goals, or financial goals, or whatever.
There's a lot of different goals out there.
I want to write a book, or I want to be scuba certified, or whatever it is.
There's all kinds of things that fulfill who we are and make up who we are as a person.
And so today, I just really want to talk about goals again, and just remind you of how important they are.
And so I think the first thing we need to do is write down a bunch of different things that you really would like to do.
All kinds of things.
Like I said, from short-term things, like I really want to organize my closet, to long-term goals.
Like everything, nothing's off limits.
I want to learn how to paint.
All kinds of goals.
I've always wanted to try my hand at.
What is it?
So we do need goals around finances.
We probably need some goals around physical fitness, but we also need other goals, right?
Things that we're working for, that fulfill us on the inside, that we can be passionate about, that really help us grow as a person, right?
And when we focus on these other things, it helps get our mind off the negative things that are going on maybe in our life that we don't have control over, and it helps us focus on something positive and keeps us moving in the right direction.
So I just kind of want you to write down lots of goals, right?
Lots of different things that you want to do.
I mean, just have fun.
