As we round out the first month of 2023, it’s a good time to check in with our intentions. If you haven’t mapped out your goals or targets, consider sitting down and making plans to succeed. Whether you subscribe to the new year, new me trend or not, use whatever inspires you. It all starts with setting realistic targets. Too often people try to do too much, too fast, too soon. That’s often a recipe for defeat. It’s been said that the best plan is the one you’re going to stick to. So, make it realistic.
When you have your target set, focus on your discipline and accountability. If, in the past, you’ve made commitments you knew you weren’t going to stick to, and you’ve lost trust with yourself, now’s the time to build it back up. Start with small wins to build that momentum, because baby steps still carry us forward. Push yourself to follow your plan even when you don’t want to, because that’s the most important time to stick with it. If you absolutely can not for whatever reason, don’t make excuses, but give yourself grace, and try again.
Nikki has a knack for defining goals and breaking them down into monthly, weekly, and even daily steps. If that’s something you struggle with, reach out to her. As always, Nikki can be found on Facebook, Instagram, or at PrissyNikki.com.
