We unpack the 7th AU-EU Summit that is currently underway in Luanda, Angola. The theme of the Summit is “Promoting Peace and Prosperity through Effective Multilateralism”. The significance of this summit is informed by the fact that Europe is Africa’s main trading partner. However, our guest is of the view that the partnership between these two influential unions is unbalanced as hunger, misery, infant malnutrition, child labour and even slavery continue to haunt the African supply chains that feed European consumption.
